Free crochet pattern:baby shoes

 Free baby crochet shoes


Almost one year ago, I’m like a crazy lady wanted to learn how to crochet a baby shoes and couldn’t understand any patterns and tutorials however I never stop studying, until today I’m now making my own pattern and sharing it to you.


This is the first pattern shoes that I will be sharing. It’s so simple and easy to make. Even it’s your first time to try to make a shoes, this will be easy for you but if you find it hard to understand you can always message me and I will try my best to coach you.



Materials;
crochet hook 3.5mm
4 ply acrylic yarn
needle
scissor

U.S. Terms Abbreviations:
ch-         chain
sl st -     slip stitch
sc-         single crochet
inc-        increase ( two sc in one stitch)
dec-       decrease (two sc together)
hdc-       half double crochet
dc-         double crochet
2hdctog-two half double crochet together
2dctog-  two double crochet together

Size for 6-12 months

Sole (make two)

Round 1: ch 15, three sc on the 2nd ch from hook.
               sc in the next 6 chains,
               hdc, dc in the next 5   chains,
               7 dc at the last chain. Do not turn. continue at the other side of the chains. see chart 1 for reference.

 dc in next 5 chains, hdc, sc in next 6 chains, sl st at the first sc.

Chart 1


               

Round 2:  ch 1, inc in next three stitches,
                sc in the next 13 stitches,
                inc in the next 5 stitches,
                sc in the next 13 stitches,
                sl st at the top of the first sc.

Round 3: ch 1, (sc, inc) repeat this three times.
               sc in the next 13 stitches,
               (sc, inc) repeat this five times.
               sc in the next 13 stitches,
               sl st at the top of the first sc. Do not cut the yarn.

The length of your  sole should be 4 ½ inch, if it’s smaller try to use thicker yarn or bigger hook or use hdc at the last round instead of sc. If it’s bigger try to use different  yarn and smaller hook.


Shoes (make two)

Round 1 : ch 1, at this round we will work only on the backloop, sc all around starting at the last sc that you made, sl st at the  first sc. (50)

Note: SLIP STITCH IS NOT COUNTED AS A STITCH.

Round 2-3 : ch 1, starting from this round we will work on both loops, sc at the same stitch where you sl st, sc all around, sl st at the first sc. (50)

Round 4: ch 1, sc at the same stitch where you sl st, sc in the next 9 stitches,
(2 hdctog, hdc in next 2 stitches) Repeat five times.
2 hdctog, sc in the next 18 stitches, sl st at the first sc. (44)

Round 5 : ch 1, sc at the same stitch where you sl st, sc in the next 10 stitches, hdc, 2hdctog,
(2dctog) Repeat this four times.
2hdctog, hdc, sc in the next 19 stitches, sl st at the first sc. (38)

Round 6 : ch 1, sc at the same stich where you sl st, sc in the next 7 stitches, 2hdctog,
            (  2dctog) Repeat this five times.
            2hdctog, sc in the next 9 stitches,
            dec, sc in the next two stitches,
            dec, sc at the last stitch, sl st at the first sc that you made. FASTEN OFF and sew the ends (29)

STRAP for left foot

Step 1: sl st at the 11th sc  counting from the last sc that you made at

the previous round.
         Ch 16, hdc at the 4th ch from hook,
         hdc in the next 12 chains,
         hdc at the stitch where you sl st.
         Then sl st at the next stitch. Fasten Off. Sew the ends and attach the button.(14)

Strap for right foot

Step 1: sl st at the 4th sc counting from the first sc that you made at the previous round.
            Ch 16, hdc at the 4th ch from hook,
            hdc in the next 12 chains,
            hdc at the stitch where you sl st.
            Then sl st at the next stitch. Fasten Off. Sew the ends and attach the button.

Leaf(make four)
Round 1: ch 2, dc5 at the first ch, sc 2, tc, sc 2, sl st at the first dc. Fasten off.

Flower  (make two)
Round 1: ch2, (dc2 at the first ch, ch 2, sl st) Repeat 5 times. Fasten Off.

Free crochet pattern: Beanie for 3 - 10 years old

  Sometimes I see myself laughing all alone not that I'm crazy but it's all because of my silly memories with my little boy. It was late at night when we met with his friends to give the beanie that I made as Eid gift.
